St. Padre Pio is my spiritual father. Around St. Padre Pio's feast day on Sept 23, 2009, I was on a holy pilgrimage in Italy: Rome, San Giovanni, Pietrelcina, Assisi, Lanciano. I prayed fervently before the incorrupt body of St. Padre Pio and spent much time with St. Francis of Assisi and the Holy Virgin Mary. When I was in Italy I was greatly attracted to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. So when I returned to the USA, my desire was to attend a Latin High Mass. But something intrigued me to dig a little bit deeper in the history of the holy sacrifice of the Mass and to my surprise I discovered a Maronite Church in San Antonio St. George and in Austin Our Lady of Maronite Church. Truly there are no words to describe the holiness presence I experienced... I am interested in learning more about the Maronite Liturgy. I thank you for welcoming me to the Maronite Rite. |
